Torque motors are designed as direct drives. Torque motors are frameless equipment motors. Thith motors consist of permanent-magnet rotor and laminated stator. Ruchservomotor JV designed and produced three series of torque motors: torque motors for instrument-industry (series RSM-24, series RSMR-24) and for machine-building industry (series RSM-36). The feature of synchronous motors series RSM-24 is small dimensions for low dimensions(profile) position systems.

Motor description: Torque motor series RSM-36 (synchronous rotary motor ) consist of a fixed primary coil unit (stator or primary part) and rotate magnet ring (rotor or secondary part). The stator is composed of a coil unit that is encapsulated in thermally conductive epoxy. The rotor consists of steel ring with glued permanent magnets. The smoothness of movement is achieved by sinusoidal commutation of currents in the coils.

Advantages:
Absence of mechanical transmissions, high precision, repeatability and resolution, no backlash,smooth movement, low profile, hollow shaft.

Applications:
machine tools; high torque rotary axis, motors for lift equipment , pick and place machines, indexing tables.

Note:
1. Peak current Ip is create peak torque Mp (2…3sec).
2. Value of a current from the amplifier at "star" connection of phases is same below, at "triangle" connection of phases is multiplied on 1,73.
3. Air gap between stator and rotor must be maintained according to the specified dimension tolerances..
4. Maximal temperature of rotor 70°C.
   The stator has built-in thermal sensor threshold type on temp 120 °C.
5. Resistance at Star connection =2RPH, at triangle connection = 0.66 RPH
6. Inductance at Star connection =2LPH, at triangle connection = 0.66 LPH
7. [S/T] - values at Star/Triangle connection of phases
8. All data tolerance ±10%.
